First snow and low temperatures

At the end of October (27th – 30th October) we had the first snowfall and low temperatures (about – 8° to – 10°C) in Rotholz. The cold temperatures have caused no damage to our harvest because it has been completed. The bigger problem was the rain. The upcoming cultivation of the soil and the autumn fertilization can be done only under suboptimal conditions. The reason is that the ground doesn’t get try anymore because of the low temperatures and the little direct sunlight. So being with the heavy machines on the ground isn’t good for the fields. We are allowed to bring liquid manure on to our fields till 15th November, manure till 30th November.
